Disney, Einhorn und die Gummibärenbande
Traditional Animation: Schon seit frühester Kindheit bin ich ein Fan von animierten Filmen oder Serien. Vor allem die klassichen Disneyfilme, wie „Der König der Löwen“, „Mulan“ oder „Tarzan“ haben es mir schwer angetan. Aber auch Filme wie „Das letzte Einhorn“, „Valhalla“ oder Serien wie „Die Gummibärenbande“ haben mich in ihren Bann gezogen….und zwar sprichwörtlich. Ich habe davon geträumt, auch einmal eine Animatorin zu werden und Trickfiguren zum Leben zu erwecken. Dieser Traum wurde wahr, als ich mit 15 Jahren ein Praktikum im kölner Trickfilmstudio „Steinmetz Trickfilm“ machen durfte und dieses Praktikum seitdem jede Sommerferien und danach 2 Jahre in Vollzeit fortgesetzt habe. Dann war ich Teilnehmerin der Fortbildung „Trickfilm/Animation“ der Internationalen Filmschule (IFS) Köln. Danach war ich dann als freie Trickfilmzeichnerin bei Steinmetz dabei und durfte an Projekten, wie die Serie „Nulli und Priesemut“ für die „Sendung mit der Maus“ mitarbeiten.

Disney, Unicorn and the Adventures of the Gummi Bears
Traditional Animation: I’ve been a fan of animated films or series since early childhood. Especially the classic Disney films like „The Lion King“, „Mulan“ or „Tarzan“ really impressed me. But also films like „The Last Unicorn“, „Valhalla“ or series like „Adventures of the Gummi Bears“ have cast a spell on me….literally. I’ve dreamed of becoming an animator and bringing cartoon characters to life. This dream came true when, at the age of 15, I was allowed to do an internship in the Cologne animation studio „Steinmetz Trickfilm“. Since then, I have continued this internship every summer vacation and then 2 years full-time. Then I took part in the „Trickfilm/Animation“ training course at the International Film School (IFS) in Cologne. After that I worked as a freelance animator at Steinmetz and was allowed to work on projects such as the series „Nulli und Priesemut“ for „Die Sendung mit der Maus“.
